The Neurotechnology Graduate Certificate provides specialized training in neural engineering for graduates and working professionals. Designed for flexibility, it can be completed standalone or alongside a University of Utah Master’s or PhD. Requirements

  • Complete a minimum of 20 graduate-level credits, including:
    • 3 Core Courses
    • 2 Elective Courses
    • 1 Seminar (max. of 2 seminars allowed)
    • Project (max. of 6 project-type credits allowed)
    • Additional credits can come from neuro course list
    • Must receive a B- grade or higher in certificate coursework and CR grades in seminars and project-related credits

HOW TO APPLY

NOTE: This certificate is for students who have completed a prior Bachelor’s degree. Students who are currently enrolled as undergraduates at the University of Utah are invited to learn more about the Neurotechnology Minor and Undergraduate Neurotechnology Certificate.

STEPS

1.   Be admitted to the University of Utah Graduate School through the appropriate admission method:

2.  Complete the Neurotechnology Certificate Application Form

3.  Meet with the Academic Advisor for the Neurotechnology Program to plan out coursework.

4.  When you are in your final semester, submit the Certificate Completion Form.
